What an annual lookup returns

The Holidays route places a country and year in the path. For BR and 2026, the observed response is a list of objects. Each object includes date in YYYY-MM-DD form, name, countryCode, nationalHoliday, subdivisionCodes, and holidayTypes. Not every holiday applies across an entire country, so read the coverage before marking a date unavailable for everyone.

Use countryCode as the queried country code, not as a city indicator.
Read nationalHoliday together with subdivisionCodes; a date can be limited to a subdivision.
Treat holidayTypes as a service classification, not as confirmation of local opening hours.

Building a useful request

Choose the country through its two-letter ISO code, then choose the year to plan. This page demonstrates BR and 2026 because an annual response makes fields comparable in one list. For a team calendar, store the date and coverage separately instead of treating every entry as a nationwide day off.
