A list for the requested year

The route takes the year in its URL and returns the holidays listed by the source for that period. The 2026 response, for example, includes Tiradentes, Labour Day, Brazilian Independence Day, and Christmas. Changing the year is part of the lookup, so a list from one year should not be treated as a permanent calendar.

Build the URL with the year the calendar actually needs to show.
Keep the returned year with the date instead of storing only day and month.

How to read the returned fields

Each observed item contains date, name, type, and weekday. date identifies the date in a numeric format; name is the source label; type classifies the item; weekday gives the weekday in Portuguese. These fields help display and organise the response, but they do not supply facts that are absent from it.

Use date to sort an agenda or create a local date in the interface.
Show name as the item label while preserving the returned wording.
Treat type and weekday as source data and allow for future format changes.

Where the lookup is useful

The list can mark dates on a schedule, support internal deadline planning, prepare seasonal content, or remind a team to check a nearby holiday. It can also start travel and communication calendars, provided that the final decision considers the location and activity involved.
