The line comes with minimal context — and important limits
The /v1/quotes/random route returns status and data. Within data, content is the line; anime contains id, name, and, when present, altName; character contains id and name. Anime and character help label a card and find a related item again, but they do not show episode, season, original language, subtitles, dub, transcript source, or licence. Treat a response as short demonstration content: do not present the line as a confirmed quote, translate or attribute it as fact without an independent source, or assume it can be republished in every context.
- The random call changes content on each response; keep anime and character ids if a card must link to another lookup.
- The documentation states a default limit of 100 requests per day. Check pricing if a project needs a different limit.
