The response contains data.currency and a rates object. When you query USD, for example, currency identifies USD as the base and rates lists how many units of each currency or asset correspond to one base unit; BRL=5.19 means about 5.19 BRL for 1 USD in that response. Values arrive as strings and can have many decimal places, so keep their precision in calculations. The response does not guarantee an executable price, fee, spread, liquidity, cutoff time, or final remittance amount. Before buying, selling, accounting, filing taxes, or settling a payment, check the applicable quote and transaction terms at the time of the operation.
- Compare responses with the same base currency; reversing a pair requires calculation, not only a label swap.
- A code present in rates does not confirm that it is available for trading, withdrawal, or use where you live.
